Sangaveda Pathasala was established in 1928, near sri Nageswara swamy Devasthanam to restore the importance of vedas. In the year of 1939, it was relocated to a place donated by Late Kasturi Krishanandam in Godugupet and with others' cooperation Shankara Matham was founded and Sri Gayathri, Shankara, Dattatreya were enshrined. Since then, it became a centre of spritual activities. Later in 1975, it was taken control by Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham and had gotten more progress.
